In support of Dementia Friendly Alton
Enjoy a lively, uplifting evening of live jazz and swing, as the Simply Jazz Quartet take to the stage at the Alton Assembly Rooms, joined by the charismatic female vocalist Tilly Clark for a special night of rhythm, melody and dance-friendly classics.
Formed in 2015, the Simply Jazz Quartet bring a fresh, energetic approach to jazz, combining swinging standards, Broadway favourites, Latin rhythms and touches of funk into a performance that is engaging, accessible and full of life.
With Tilly Clark’s dynamic vocals at the heart of the show, the evening will feature much-loved songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Peggy Lee, alongside classic swing numbers associated with Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, all re-imagined with a vibrant, female-led vocal style.
Expect well-known favourites and popular Broadway Numbers such as “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” “All of Me,” “Cheek to Cheek,” “Feeling Good,” and many more — music that’s upbeat, familiar and perfect for those who enjoy a proper night out with live music you can move to.
This is not background jazz, but an entertaining, feel-good evening celebrating timeless songs, strong vocals and infectious rhythms, while also supporting the wonderful work of Dementia Friendly Alton.
